Valentevich has just been greeted as the principal conductor since the 2018/2019 season. According to local reports, the successor was Ondrej Lenárd (77), the predecessor.
The dismissed Valentovic is a Slovak conductor born in 1980. Studied with Leopold Hager at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He then studied under Zsolt Nagy at Conservatoire National Superiéur in Paris.
Since then, he has conducted various Orchestras and Opera House in Europe, and has served as the Principal conductor of the Istanbul State Opera. The last few years are often used to direct the accompaniment of global soprano singer Edita Gruberová.
