RIGA 〓 Egils Silins became the new director of the Latvian National Opera

Bass baritone singer Egils Silins became the new director of the Latvian National Opera. The term of office is 5 years. Silins is now 57 years old. He is an opera singer representing Latvia.

He studied at Latvian Conservatory and debuted in 1988. Since then, he has been active in opera theaters around the world. In 2018, he made his debut at the German Bayreuth Festival with the role of The King’s Herald of the opera “Lohengrin”.
