BERLIN 〓 Berlin Philharmonic announces its 2025/2026 season lineup, with five conductors making their debuts

The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra (Berliner Philharmoniker) has announced its concert lineup for the new 2025/2026 season. Five conductors will make their orchestra debuts: Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, Thomas Guggeis, Petr Popelka, Raphaël Pichon, and Jordi Savall.

The opening performance will take place on September 29, featuring Kirill Petrenko conducting Schumann’s Manfred Overture, Zimmermann’s Oboe Concerto, and Brahms’ Symphony No. 1. The Artist-in-Residence is Janine Jansen. Additionally, Savall, who will conduct Mozart’s Symphony No. 41 “Jupiter” and other works, will also serve as a mentor for the Orchestra Academy.
