MADRID 〓 Domingo Dismissed From 50th Anniversary Celebration in Madrid by Spanish Government

The Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports has canceled Plácido Domingo’s appearance.

Canceled was a performance in Teatro del la Zarzuela commemorating the 50th anniversary of Domingo’s Madrid debut.

Domingo has just issued an apology statement on the 25th for past sexual harassment.

Domingo was scheduled to perform on May 14 and 15 at the “Luiza Fernanda” at the National Zarzuela Theater. The 14th is the anniversary of Domingo’s debut in Madrid with the appearance of “La Gioconda”.

    Que pena la desilusión que ha causado el mal comportamiento, al menos admitido, de Plácido Domingo. No tenía ninguna necesidad de manejarse así, Esa conducta hace mucho daño a quienes resultan víctimas. También es triste para su familia y sus seguidores que lo admiraba os como cantante y como ser humano.
