2020/03/28

Violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter recently disclosed herself on Facebook that she was infected with the new coronavirus. She played online with members of the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Co-starring were the London Philharmonic’s concert masters Pieter Schoeman, Deputy Principal viola player Richard Waters, and Principal cello player Kristina Blaumane.

The four performers originally planned to co-star at the Queen Elizabeth Hall at the South Bank Center on March 26.

The four performers are excerpts from Beethoven’s string quartet No. 10 “Harp”. It was distributed as the first of the web channel “LPOnline” launched by the London Philharmonic.
