DRESDEN 〓 The Saxony State Opera postpones the performance of the new production of “Madama Butterfly” by Amon Miyamoto, after a member of staff is infected with Covid-19

The Saxony State Opera has announced that it will postpone the performance of the new production of Madama Butterfly by Amon Miyamoto. The opening night, which was scheduled for 2 April, has been postponed to 6 April.

The new production of “Madame Butterfly” is conducted by Omer Meir Wellber and features Kristine Opolais as the Cho-cho-san. The cast includes Christa Mayer, Freddie De Tommaso, Adrienne Timpau and Gabriele Viviani.
