CAPE TOWN 〓 “Operalia” for young singers to be held in Cape Town in 2023

The “Operalia” for young singers recently announced that 2023 will take place in Cape Town, South Africa. The festival will be held at the Artscape Theatre Centre from October 30 to November 5.

The “Operalia” is presided over by world-renowned opera singer Placido Domingo, and is open to young people between the ages of 18 and 32. It was founded in 1993 and will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2023. It is held in a different city each year.

2020 was to be held in Tel Aviv, Israel, but was cancelled due to the spread of the new coronavirus; 2021 is being held at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, and 2022 at the National Opera House in Riga, the capital of Latvia.
