Carnegie Hall in New York has announced that it will cancel all performances until April 5, 2021. In New York, the Metropolitan Opera, the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, the New York City Ballet, and the Lincoln Center have decided to cancel the 2020/2021 season, and Broadway league has decided to close all theaters until June.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 88,452 new infections were confirmed on October 29, setting a new record for the number of infected people per day. The number of deaths per day also exceeded 1,000. As of the 29th, the number of infected people in the United States has exceeded 9 million, and at least 227,000 have died.
