BERN 〓 Swiss theater closures will be extended until the end of February

The Swiss federal government has begun to coordinate to extend preventive measures against the spread of the new coronavirus. Precautionary measures were scheduled to end on January 22nd.

When extended, restaurants, bars and cultural facilities will be closed throughout Switzerland until the end of February 2021. Additional measures such as closing general retail stores and requiring home work are also under consideration. The content will be announced on the 13th.

In Switzerland, vaccination began nationwide from January 4th of the year. It is one of the countries most affected by the new coronavirus in Europe, with more than 10,000 newly infected people reported daily in early November last year.

Since the beginning of this year, the number of newly infected people per day has been less than 5,000.
