MILAN 〓 Teatro alla Scala Announces First Coronavirus career

Teatro alla Scala revealed on February 26 that one member of the choir had tested positive for the new coronavirus (Covid19).

According to the theatrical announcement, this member appeared in a performance of Verdi “Il trovatore” on February 12. However, on the 13th, this member was ill and was absent.This member is currently recuperating at home.

According to the Italian health authorities, the theater is conducting a health check on stakeholders in contact with this member.

With the spread of the new coronavirus in northern Italy, Teatro alla Scala will stop performing by March 1st. The outage is expected to be extended due to the discovery of the infection of theater member.
