The Vienna State Opera has fired the principal cellist of the orchestra on the 26th. The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra has also announced that it has been expelled from the orchestra.

According to the explanation of the Vienna Philharmonic, “R.N.” had been fired for sexual misconduct from his music college.

“R.N.” had filed a lawsuit against the Labor Court for unfair dismissal, but the case resulted in a dismissal of the appeal. In response to this, the State Opera took action.
