TOKYO 〓 Washington National Symphony Orchestra has canceled its Japan tour.

Following the spread of the new coronavirus, the Washington National Symphony Orchestra has canceled its Japan tour.

This Japan tour will be their first overseas tour with Gianandrea Noseda, who has been music director since the 2017/2018 season. Five Japanese performances were scheduled from March 6 to March 11.

Initially, a China tour was scheduled after the Japan tour, but the China tour had already been canceled.
