TOKYO 〓 Royal Opera House will come to Japan in September next year

The schedule for the next Japanese tour of the Royal Opera House has been decided. They will perform in Japan in September 2019. Last performance in Japan is 2015. Two performances, “Faust” of Gounod and “Otello” of Verdi, to be performed in 2019. Both works are Conducted by Antonio Pappano, who is a music director since 2002.

“Faust” is the director of David McVicar, the premiere of production is 2004. For casting in Japan, Vittorio Grigolo to Faust, Ildebrando D’Arcangelo to Mephisto Feles, Sonya Yoncheva to Marguerite. September 12th, 15th and 18th will be performed at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, and on the 22nd will be performed at the Kanagawa kenmin hall.

Meanwhile, “Otello” is directed by Keith Warner, and the production premiere is 2017. Jonas Kaufmann challenged for the first time the role of Otero at the time of the premiere of production. 14th and 16th are Kanagawa Kenmin hall, 21st and 23th are Tokyo Bunka Kaikan.
