The conductor Michael Sanderling was appointed as a substitute and decided to debut at Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra recently dismissed Daniele Gatti, the chief conductor of the sexual harassment problem emerging. Its substitute. Conducted are concerts of 19th, 20th, 21st and 23rd. The program is Bruckner’s Symphony No. 3 and “Mysteriën” of Amsterdam-based composer Louis Andriessen. “Mysteriën” is a commission commemorating the 125th anniversary of the founding of the hall and orchestra. At the world premiere of 2013, the chief conductor of the time Maris Jansons is conducting.

Sanderling was born in East Germany in East Berlin in 1967. His father is a famous conductor Kurt Sanderling (1912-2011), and his older brother Thomas and Stephan are also conductor. After studying cello at Hans Eisler music university, after graduation he worked as a cello soloist with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra (1988-1992), and later played with a number of orchestras as a free cellist. Started acting as a conductor from early 2000. Since 2011 he is the principal conductor of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra. Sanderling (51) is the same generation as Gatti (56), some view that it will rise suddenly as a successor candidate.
