Daniele Gatti’s name has emerged as the successor chief conductor of the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, where Antonio Pappano has been retired.

What is reported by local newspapers. Gatti was previously the Chief Conductor of this Orchestra from 1992 to 1997.

Gatti is now 59 years old. He was accused of sexual harassment in August 2018 and was dismissed as the principal conductor of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam.

After that, he became the music director of the Roman Opera from December. His contract expires in the 2020/2021 season. It is easy to receive after Pappano who will retire at the end of the 2022/2023 season.

Michele Mariotti has been named as the successor to the music director of the Roman Opera, where Gatti is leaving.

Mariotti is now 41 years old. After Gatti, he was the principal conductor of the Bologna Opera Orchestra (2008-2014) and then the music director of the opera (2015-2018).
