”Opera Awards” 2018 announcement ceremony took place in London on the 9th. “Opera Awards” is an international prize established in 2012 by Harry Hyman who operates the UK healthcare REIT. John Allison, editor-in-chief of the British monthly magazine Opera Magazine, served as the chairman of the judging board, and Europe’s prominent music critics serve as selection committee members. The favorite list includes names of Plácido Domingo, Janet Baker, Thomas Allen, Mirella Freni and others in the opera world. The winners of the major category prize are as follows.
