She has been the music director since its inception and has been the first guest conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Algeria since 2007. She was also responsible for carrying the torch to the “Stade de France,” the venue of the closing ceremony, as one of the runners in this Olympic Games.

French tenor Benjamin Bernheim also appeared from the classical music world at the closing ceremony, which was attended by a crowd of 71,500 people.
