LONDON 〓 Classical Music Magazine “Gramophone” Announces Nominees for Orchestra of the Year

Gramophone, a British classical music magazine, announced the orchestras nominated for “Orchestra of the Year”.

The prize was established in 1977 and is one of the most prestigious awards in the classical music world. There are various categories, and the selection committee includes critics from Gramophone magazine, broadcasters, and various members of the music industry for recordings made during the previous year.

The only one of these is the “Orchestra of the Year,” which is determined by readers’ online voting, and the nominated orchestras are listed below. Voting will continue until September 8.
