HIROSHIMA 〓 Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra announces the 2019 performance lineup

Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra announced a performance lineup for 2019. General music director Tatsuya Shimono, Honorary conductor for life Kazuyoshi Akiyama, Principal guest conductor Christian Arming tackles an ambitious program. It is a topic that Shimono will take up Japanese contemporary works such as Akio Yashiro’s “Symphony” and Akira Ifukube’s “Concertive style symphony for piano and orchestra”. Also, attention is drawn to a program combining works of Toshio Hosokawa and Beethoven ‘s symphony in “Discovery Series” with the theme of “Hosokawa × Beethoven”. The annual “Music for Peace Concert” is Conducted by Arming. It also features focusing on Poland, which is the 100th anniversary of diplomatic establishment. Krzysztof Penderecki arrives and conducts his own violin concerto “Metamorphoseen”. It is also a topic that Orchestra will appear in Festival”Chopin i jego Europa” in August in Warsaw. At the opening concert, they will have a joint performance with Sinfonia Valsovia.
