Gothenburg Opera in Sweden fired German director Peter Konwitschny (1945 -) who was working on a new production of Mussorgsky’s “Boris Godonov” on 18th. According to reports in Europe and the United States, Konwitschny shouted at the orchestra member for the cause of the descent. The union of the orchestra protested it, the theater accepted it and decided to leave.

The incident occurred at the time of rehearsal on the night of 17th. Konwitschny in production asked not to give a sound to the trumpet player. However, as the player kept producing sounds, Konwitschny shouted loudly. Konwitschny announced through local radio station on 19th that he was not convinced about the correspondence of the theater.
