Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra announced on the 2nd that it had dismissed the chief conductor, Daniele Gatti, who was reported on sexual harassment. About him, on July 26, the “Washington Post” paper posted accusation articles by the situation of the victims. The article told Gatti’s sexual harassment set in Chicago Lyric Opera. In response, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra conducted an internal survey. As a result, “Since the publication of the article, many of the colleagues of the orchestra’s women reported their experiences with him, it is inappropriate to consider the status as the chief conductor.” Gatti has assumed office as chief conductor since 2016/2017 season. He leave that post in two years.
