The Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the residence orchestra of the Bregenz Festival, has announced that it will prioritize rail transport for travel. “carbon neutral” initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. They will also change their trip to Bregenz to take a seven-hour train ride. The eight tours scheduled for 2020 will also travel by train if possible. It is the second organization after the London Philharmonic Orchestra to make an effort to become “carbon neutral” in the orchestra world.
