The Dallas Symphony Orchestra decided to invite Fabio Luisi to the next music director. He replaces Jaap van Zweden who has been a music director since 2008. Term of office is from 2020. Luisi is 59 years old. Currently, Music Director of Opera Zurich, Principal Conductor of DR Symphony Orchestra (Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra). Besides that, he has served as artistic director of “Maggio Musicale Fiorentino” following Zubin Mehta.
