WASHINGTON 〓 Philip Glass receives the Kennedy Center Honors

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC announced the winners of this year’s “The Kennedy Center Honors” on 25th. The award was founded in 1978 and for lifetime artistic achievements, and a special Honors distinction for a work of art. At the 41st National Art Festival (December 2, Washington, DC) An award ceremony is held. The winners include composer Philip Glass, singer Cher, jazz saxophonist Wayne Shorter and country singer Reba McEntire.
