NEW YORK 〓 Camarena updated the MET’s encore record

Metropolitan Opera announced on Wednesday that Havier Camarena updated the theater’s encore record. On the 7th was the first day of Donizetti《La fille du régiment》, the Camarena got a huge applause and sang the aria “Pour mon âme” again. It is said that it was the longest encore in the past 75 years. Camarena was born in Xalapa, Mexico in 1976. Together with Juan Diego Flórez and Lawrence Brownlee, it is called the new generation “Three Tenors”.
