BARCELONA 〓 Liceu Grand Theater cancels performance of “Lohengrin”

On March 10, the Liceu Grand Theater in Barcelona canceled the premiere of “Lohengrin”, which was slated to open its first day on the 19th. Because the infection of the new coronavirus is expanding.

Spain has 1,622 infected cases and 35 fatalities, making it the fifth largest in the world. As a result, all universities and schools in Madrid have been closed, and the Spanish government has restricted events to less than 1,000 people.

The Liceu Grand Theater has also decided to cancel on the 22nd and 25th, following the performance on the first day of March 19th. However, if the restrictions are lifted, they will perform on 28th and April 5th.

This time, “Lohengrin” is a new production, directed by Katharina Wagner. Starring Günther Groissböck, Erin Wall, Klaus Florian Vogt and Evelyn Herlitzius were scheduled to appear.
