LONDON 〓 The general vote of “Orchestra of the Year” by the British classical music magazine “Gramophone” has begun

Which is your “Orchestra of the Year”? The British classical music magazine “Gramophone” has announced 10 nominations for the “Orchestra of the Year”. The “Orchestra of the Year” in the annual award “Gramophone Award” will be decided by a general vote.

Founded in 1977, the award targets recordings from the previous year and is one of the most prestigious awards in the classical music world. It has been selected by various members of the broadcasting station and the music industry, centered on critics of “Gramophone” magazine.

Among them, the “Orchestra of the Year” has been decided by a general vote since 2018, and the vote started on July 1 (http://gramophone.co.uk/awards). The deadline is September 13th. The 2021 annual award “Gramophone Award” will be announced on October 5th.

Past award-winning orchestras are the Seattle Symphony Orchestra in 2018, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in 2019, and the Philadelphia Orchestra in 2020. The nominated organizations are as follows.
