CLEVELAND 〓 Cleveland Orchestra has announced an audition for its vacant concertmaster’s seat

2020/04/13

The Cleveland Orchestra has announced an audition for its vacant concertmaster’s seat. The orchestra will also audition for principal trombone.

In August 2018, the Washington Post reported alleged sexual harassment about William Preucil, who has been a concert master since 1995.

The orchestra’s board set up an independent investigative committee, which during the investigation found sexual harassment by the principal trombone, Massimo La Rosa, in addition to Preucil. So the orchestra fired them in October.

After that, their successors were not determined and were vacant.
