LONDON 〓 Kanneh-Mason, an 18-year-old cellist continues to run fast

The debut album of Sheku Kanneh-Mason, an 18-year-old cellist who performed at the Harry-and-Meghan royal wedding on May 19, continues to run fast. Worldwide sales exceeded 100,000 sheets, and even in the classic division of Britain’s hit chart, it keeps the top for 13 weeks continuously. Kanneh-Mason was born in Nottingham, 1999. Studied at the Royal Academy of Music and gained a lot of attention as he won the 2016 BBC Young Musician Competition. A major label DECCA immediately signed an exclusive contract. In the debut album “Inspiration”, there are Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 1 played in Competition, Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry”, Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” from Casals’ El Cant dels Ocells “and so on.
