The Bregenz Festival in Austria welcomed its 10 millionth visitor on July 19. The commemorative visitor was Mrs. Carmen Rauschmann, who lives in Hammelburg, Germany, and has been attending the festival every year since enjoying Verdi’s Il Trovatore in 2005.

The music festival began in 1946 with two gravel barges floating on the lake, where an opera was performed. Last year, approximately 270,000 people attended over the course of a month. Mrs. Rauschmann was presented with a bouquet and a small gift set by artistic director Lilli Paasikivi.
