PARIS 〓 Alexander Neef becomes the next president of the Paris National Opera

Alexander Neef, general director of the Canadian Opera Company, has been appointed president of the Paris National Opera. A successor to Stephane Lissner. Neef’s term starts from the 2021/2022 season. Neef is 45 years old born in Germany. After graduating from Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, he was found in Gerard Mortier and joined his team. He has worked as a production manager at the Salzburg Festival, Paris National Opera, Ruhr Triennale, New York City Opera. Since 2008 he has been General Director of the Canadian Opera Company. Finally leaving the 2020/2021 season.
