Teatro dell’Opera di Roma will invite Daniele Gatti to the music director. The director’s post is vacant after Riccardo Muti resigned in 2014. Gatti is currently Conducting the season opening performance “Rigoletto” where the performance started from the 2nd.

In August Gatti was dismissed from the Royal Concertgebou Orchestra’s principal conductor reported on sexual harassment, after which several performances were canceled. After the scandal, the first activity in Italy was “Rigoletto” this time.
