WASHINGTON 〓 National Symphony cancels performances in China

The National Symphony Orchestra, headquartered in Kennedy Center in Washington, has announced that its scheduled Chinese performance will be canceled in March. Those affected by the spread of the new coronavirus.

The performance in China is part of the Asian Tour. After the performances in Japan from the 6th to the 11th, concerts were scheduled to be held in Beijing on the 13th and 14th and in Shanghai on the 17th.

This is the first overseas tour with Gianandrea Noseda, music director since the 2017/2018 season. In Japan, the US professional orchestra will perform in Hiroshima for the first time since the Cleveland Orchestra in 1978.
