Audition of the concert master of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra was held, and the appointment Olga Sroubkova. This is the first time a woman has been appointed as a concert master in the Czech Philharmonic. Grandfather Karel Sroubek was also the concert master of the Czech Philharmonic.

Sroubkova was born in Prague in 1993 and is 26 years old. After studying at the Prague Conservatory, she studied with Adam Kostecki at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. She have earned the second place in the second “Shanghai Isaac Stern International Violin Competition” held in September 2018.
