The Bavarian State Opera has extended its contract with Music Director Vladimir Jurowski.He has held this position since the 2021/2022 season. During last year’s contract renewal, he extended his term until the end of the 2027/2028 season, stating at the time that he would “under no circumstances continue beyond 2028.” However, his term has now been extended by an additional year. Jurowski is currently 53 years old.
