ROME 〓 MIDORI played in front of the pope

The violinist MIDORI played in front of the pope who was present at the 41st annual meeting of the “International Fund for Agricultural Development” on 14th February. “IFAD” was founded in 1977. Member countries are 172 countries, and the mission is to promote rural development by providing low interest loans and grants. The annual meeting was held in Rome where headquarters are located on 13th and 14th. Since September 2007, MIDORI has served as the first Japanese “UN peace messenger.”
