PARIS 〓 The 4th “Evgeny Svetlanov International Conducting Competition” has ended

The final round of the 4th “Evgeny Svetlanov International Conducting Competition” was held on the 8th. The competition is held by Radio France in Paris. Directing the French radio Philharmonic Orchestra belonging to the broadcasting station.

Founded in 2007, it is now held once every four years. There are 7 judging committees, the chairperson is conductor Alexandre Vedernikov. Members include Gidon Kremer, Andrey Boreyko and Nathalie Stutzmann.

350 people from 57 countries applied for this competition (subjects ranging from 20 to 40 years old), among which 18 were selected for preliminary examination. There is no first prize this time. Dmitry Filatov from Russia (39, picture right), Fuad Ibrahimov from Azerbaijan (36, picture left), was selected as second prize.
