Iván Fischer, who canceled the appearance at the Verbier Music Festival, released a message for fans and stakeholders. He says that his right eye was in danger of blindness. According to his message, Fischer received two operations in Berlin in June, but on July 12 the retina stripped, temporarily lost sight. For this reason, he interrupted his vacation with his family and returned to Budapest, he again underwent a two-time operation and managed to avoid retinal detachment. It is said that right eye is currently protected with silicone oil. At least it is necessary to keep that state for 6 months, while his eyesight falls extremely, but he hopes to return to the scene on tour of the Budapest Festival Orchestra in late August.
