CLEVELAND 〓 Cleveland Orchestra to Tour Europe at End of Summer

The Cleveland Orchestra of America has announced a European tour in advance of the opening of its new season, with performances in Berlin, Helsinki, Lucerne, Ansfelden, Bratislava, and Vienna from August 26 to September 7.

The tour is led by Franz Welser-Möst, who will retire as music director at the end of the 2027/2028 season after 25 years in the position, and the main program is said to be Schumann’s Piano Concerto with Víkingur Ólafsson at the piano.
