The 100 th anniversary commemorative exhibition started at the Bolshoi Theater Museum. The Bolshoi Theater is supposed to be in 1776 when Empress Ekaterina II admitted to the construction of the big theater for masses in Moscow and performed at the Yousa River. In commemoration of it in 2016 the 240 year anniversary festival is held. This exhibition attracted about 600 Items including costumes, sketches, tools, photographs, materials etc. that have garnered such glamorous history, and it is the largest ever in the past.

Costumes of artists whose name is engraved in the history of theaters, such as costumes of Maya Plisetskaya designed by Pierre Cardin, such as Alexander Gorsky, Anna Pavlova, Fyodor Chaliapin and Galina Ulanova, are gathered. There is also a costume of a ballet “Dragon Fly” of a child who was not used because it was judged as erotic by the dress rehearsal of 1951. Many things such as sketches and posters of stages that did not pass through censorship, which had not been on the table so far are also being exhibited.
