She has been studying while receiving the Kenan Fellowship at Lincoln Center in New York.

“Miss America” was founded in 1921, the miss contest which represents the United States (unmarried woman with American citizenship of 17 to 24 years old can participate). In addition to representatives from 50 states in the nation, 52 people including the representatives of the District of Columbia and the representatives of the US Virgin Islands will participate in the final round. The winner will be awarded a scholarship of 50,000 dollars, a second prize of 25,000 dollars and a third ranking of 20,000 dollars.

The swimsuit examination has become one of the highlights since the establishment, but it was abolished from this year. Instead, a place for question and answer with the judges was set up, and individual talents such as talks and special skills became more important. Franklin is singing Musetta’s waltz “Quando M’en Vo” from Puccini’s opera “La Boheme”.
