ZURICH 〓 Gianandrea Noseda will be appointed Chef of the Zurich Opera

Gianandrea Noseda will be appointed GMD (General Music Director) of the Zurich Opera from 2021/2022 season. Succeeding Fabio Luisi, who has served as GMD since 2012 and leaves with a term of office for a year. As of late April, Noseda has resigned from Principal Conductor of Teatro Reggio of Turin which he was in charge of since 2007. Director Andreas Homoki is acting as an intendant of the Zürich Opera from 2012, and has just extended the contract until 2025.
