The Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, Russia announced the lineup for 2018/2019 season. In the 243th season, 26 performances of opera and 37 works of ballet are performed. Tchaikovsky “Evgenij Onegin” directed by Dmitry Tcherniakov, who has been performing for 12 years, will replace the new production, and six new works of opera. The Bolshoi Theater, which had been followed by the former Soviet Union after the collapse of the former Soviet Union, was a young Tugan Sokhiev from 2014 as music director and is pursuing the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg led by Valery Gergiev. Sohiyev was born in Vladi Kaukas, North Ossetia in 1977. He studied at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, studied with Ilya Musin until 1999, then with Yuri Temirkanov until graduating in 2001. Since 2005 she has been chief guest conductor of l’Orchester National du Capitole de Toulouse, since 2008 he is a music director.
