VERONA 〓 Arena di Verona has announced its 2022 Performance lineup

Arena di Verona, one of Italy’s leading summer festivals, has announced its 2022 lineup, presenting five productions in 2022: Carmen, Aida, Nabucco, La Traviata and Turandot.

The opera festival opens with “Carmen” on 17 June. The role of Carmen will be played by Elīna Garanča, who is making her debut at the festival.

Anna Netrebko, whose departure was closely watched after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, was announced to perform in “Aida” and “Turandot”.
