WARSAW 〓 Andrey Boreyko will be appointed to the music director of Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra

Andrey Boreyko will be appointed from the 2019/2020 season to the music director of Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra. Succeeded by Jacek Kaspszyk who has led the orchestra since 2009. Boreyko has served as Principal Conductor of the Naples Orchestra in Florida, USA since 2014.

Boreyko was 61 years old, born in St. Petersburg in 1957. His father is Polish, and his mother is Russian. He has experienced the principal conductor and music director of the following orchestras so far. Jena Philharmonic Orchestra (1998-2003), Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (2000-2003), Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra (2001-2006), Bern Symphony Orchestra (2004-2010), Hamburg Symphony Orchestra (2004-2007), Belgian National Orchestra (2012-2017).
