EDINBURGH 〓 Ivan Bessonov won the 2018 edition of Eurovision Young Musicians

Russian 16-year-old pianist Ivan Bessonov won the piano division of “Eurovision Young Musicians” 2018. Competition was founded in 1982. Co-organized by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), and the Edinburgh International Festival. The final round was held at Usher Hall, Edinburgh on 23rd, and six finalists performed with BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra conducted by Thomas Dausgaard, Bessonov played Tchaikovsky Concerto No.1 3rd movement. Bessonov was born in St.Petersburg and is now studying Vadim Rudenko’s class at the Central Music School attached to the Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
