Around the Music Festival

Turin’s Teatro Reggio announced the lineup of the 2018/2019 season. While popular works line up, there are also performances of unusual works. It is performed by two Italian composers Ferdinando Paer (1771 – 1839) born in Palma and Alfredo Casella (1883 – 1947) born in Turin.

Paer was a popular composer of the past who was a lifelong court of the Dresden Court Theater, a conductor of the Italian theater in Paris, a court composer of Louis XVIII, and composed 43 operas. “Agnese” is picked up from among them this time. Casella is a member of the group called “80 years generation = generazione dell’ottanta” alongside Ottorino Respighi, Gian Francesco Malipiero, Ildebrando Pizzetti, and the symphonic suite “La Giara” written in 1924 will be played.

In Teatro Reggio this April, Walter Vergnano of the intendant, Gaston Fournier-Facio of artistic director, Gianandrea Noseda who served as chief conductor from 2007, The top three of the theater called steadily resigned, and will have an unstable opening.
