PARIS 〓 Bohdan Luts from Ukraine won the first prize at Long-Thibaud International Competition

The final of the violin section of France’s “Long-Thibaud International Competition,” known as a gateway to success for young performers, was held in Paris on November 26, and Bohdan Luts from Ukraine won the first prize.


Second place went to Dayoon You from Korea, and third place went to Takeuchi Koshiro.


Lutz was born in Lviv in 2004 and is 18 years old. In 2022, he won the first prize at the Carl Nielsen International Music Competition in Denmark.

The competition was founded in 1943 by violinist Jacques Thibaud and pianist Marguerite Long. This year’s competition attracted 106 participants from 32 countries.
