SALZBURG 〓 “Mozart Week” has canceled

2020/12/25

The music festival “Mozart Week” in Salzburg has announced its discontinuation. 2021 was scheduled to be held from January 21st to 31st. “Mozart Week” is held every January in Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace, around January 27th of his birthday.

Following the spread of the new coronavirus, Austria has taken new regulatory measures since November 17, and cultural facilities such as theaters and museums will be closed until January 17, next year.

The “International Mozart Foundation,” which hosts the music festival, has decided to abandon the event because it is still uncertain that the theater will reopen on the 18th.
