OTSU 〓 Biwako Hall announced the performance lineup for FY2020

Biwako Hall Center for the Performing Arts, Shiga announced the performance lineup for FY2020 on December 5. The three pillars are “Produce Opera” which has performed Wagner’s works, “Opera Selection” by art director Ryusuke Numajiri, and “Omi Spring – Lake Biwa Classic Music Festival 2020”. The New Year’s Eve annual “Silvester Concert” is still alive.

“Produce Opera” has been working on the performance of “The Ring of the Nibelung” since FY2016, and the four-part production ended in FY2019. The next work will also be Wagner’s work, working on the performance of “Lohengrin”. Directed by Jun Aguni. On the other hand, “Opera Selection” is “The Barber of Seville”. In the opera lineup, there is also a replay of Numajiri’s “The Tale of Princess Kaguya”.

Also, the third year, “Omi Spring – Lake Biwa Classic Music Festival 2020” will be held on April 25 and 26. The theme of the music festival is always selected from opera arias, and in 2020 it became “Mysterious Thoughts Meet Me” in Beethoven’s “Fidelio”.
